1950s sci-fi the inspiration for composer Garry Schyman...
THQ and Pandemic Studios have today revealed that the composer for B-Movie sci-fi title Destroy All Humans! was Garry Schyman, whose previous works include three TV adaptations of novels by thriller writer Robin Cook.
Written in the style of 1950s sci-fi including the classic The Day The Earth Stood Still, Schyman has recorded sixty minutes score for the game, which is set for release on June 24th 2005.
Commenting on his music for the game Garry Schyman said, "I never played the humor [sic] of the game directly. Instead I wrote the score as if this was 1953 and I was a working composer of that era. With that in mind I played it dead serious, which led to an overly dramatic score and the humor [sic] that comes from that approach."
Greg Borrud, Director of Production, Pandemic Studios, attested, "Garry not only nailed the style for Destroy All Humans!, he helped shape the game with his brilliant score. The soundtrack takes the game to a whole new level."

THQ owns the rights to the series. Pandemic hasn't developed any DAH titles for quite a while. This is largely why they have been so terrible.
