PlayStation2 and Xbox version of the PC first-person-shooter goes gold head of early September release...

Novalogic has today announced that the Xbox and PlayStation2 version of PC FPS Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, has gone gold ahead of its release on September 2nd 2005. The game is set in Somalia in 1993 and follows the events of Delta Force and US Army Rangers during raids against the local Warlord in the capital city Mogadishu.

The game has 16 single-player missions and has online functions that include up to an astounding fifty gamers to battle it out over Xbox Live and thirty-two on PlayStation2â??s Network Play (powered by GameSpy), as well as an authentic range of weapons.

Novalogic has also announced that a portion of the proceeds raised by the release of the game will go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides college scholarship grants, along with financial aid and educational counseling to the children of Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.

Weâ??ll have more news shortlyâ?¦
