SCEE release specific information and story details from the return of Nina Williams...
Starring Nina Williams from the Tekken series, Death by Degrees is set prior to the first Tekken title and focuses on the events that lead up to Ninaâ??s involvement in the Iron Fist tournament. Ninaâ??s story centres on a secret organisation named Kometa; Kometa wields a powerful weapon called the â??Salaciaâ? and is feared as a deadly terrorist threat.
Beginning on a luxury cruise ship, where the executives of Kometa have gathered in anticipation of the underground fighting tournament, Nina is sent into to investigate the organisation, enter the tournament and emerge victorious.
To help her out players can take advantage of a number of her signature Tekken moves, including the Evil Mist and submission moves; whilst the fighting system makes use of both thumbsticks to grant the player total 360 degrees of action. Other abilities include the innovative â??Critical Hitâ?? targeting system, which allows Nina to target and destroy opponents bones and internal organs through the on-screen X-Ray vision mode â?“ however youâ??ll need to build up Ninaâ??s â??Focus Gaugeâ?? through successful attacks firstly.
In addition to using her bare fists, Nina can also get her hands on a number of weapons featured in the game, including multiple guns and swords. However itâ??s not all about combat and the game will certainly see a degree of stealth employed in your role as an operative; as such Nina can lay enemies out cold with sleeper holds and use a fingerprint scanner to obtain fingerprints from fallen opponents.
NAMCO promise that the final game will offer over 20 hours of gameplay to enjoy, with an impressive 140 rooms to explore. In addition the game promises a number of additional modes to extend the longevity, including a Challenge Mode, Anna Mode, Sniper Mode, Hover-Camera Mode and Puzzle Mode; sadly specific details on what to expect from these have yet to be revealed, however we can expect more info and hands-on from E3.

I think that Death by Degrees was a wonderful and challenging game. There were a few flaws, what what game doesn't have them. I was wondering if there was going to be a second part to the game, since it was left so open at the end.
