Tecmo announce that the online beat-em-up has gone gold, ready for a US release later this month…
Tecmo have confirmed that the next instalment in the ongoing Dead or Alive franchise has gone gold. Dead or Alive Ultimate will have Xbox Live! capabilities so that players will be able to participate in the various online fighting modes included in the game.
The developers promise that the game will feature improved graphics, with more DOA girls than ever and multi-tiered environments; and with the addition of Live! modes including Winner-Stays, Tournament, Team Battle, Survivor, and interestingly, Loser-Stays, the titleâ??s longevity will hopefully push new boundaries. An Xbox Live! scoreboard will also feature in the game, so the best fighters can fight it out to be the best DOA fighter in the world.
Announcing the news, John Inada, Tecmo's Director of Marketing, said, "Dead or Alive Ultimate will blow all other fighters out of the water this fall and we are very happy to announce that it has gone goldâ?¦DOAU will be the new benchmark for all other games to follow and its online capabilities through Xbox Live will not only change the future of fighting games but the future of all games."
The title is set for release in the US later on this month, although a European release date has yet to be confirmed.
