Reports suggest that EA is hard at work on two more Dead Space games and a movie as well...
Dead Space is set to join Dante's Inferno, Army of Two, The Sims, and Mass Effect as EA Games that are being developed into movies, with news that D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye, Disturbia) has been attached to direct the film adaptation.
This is according to a Variety report, which specifies that EA will produce the title alongside Temple Hill. The two companies are currently vetting scriptwriters and, once EA are pleased with the project's creative direction, it will be auctioned to studios.
As far as games are concerned, the report also notes that EA "is working on the second and third [Dead Space] instalments". There has been talk of a Dead Space sequel in the past, but this is the first news of a possible trilogy for the survival-horror series.
What's much more likely, however, is that the report is referring to the Wii spin-off, Dead Space: Extraction, as well as a full sequel to the 2008 original.

properly looking forward to it! completely loved dead space, the story, the graphics, the atmosphere, everything. is it rumours that dead space 2 has multiplayer or is that fact? not that it matters if the single player is a stunning as the originals! 8-)

this is my fav game franchise, for my money it has a story better than all other games, and as good as most tv/movies, because i want to know more about the story not just gameplay, i love the comics, the feature, and the little virals and audio logs sort of like what lost did

Yes, but the studio that made it is an internal EA studio (EA Redwood Shores, now Visceral Games), so technically we should be applauding EA for Dead Space. Anyway, even if they did just publish it from a third-party dev, then they still would have had a lot of say regarding the game's direction. Give a companuy credit where it's deserved for crying out loud!
