Online reports indicate that EA's Dead Space 2 could be primed for release sometime next year...
According to this Reuters report on sales of horror videogames, Dead Space 2 from EA's Visceral Games studio is due for release next year at some point, although the article does not give a rough launch window for the sequel.
"Electronic Arts has a pair of horror offerings for gamers. The publisher recently shipped Dead Space: Extraction for Wii, which is a prequel to last fall's Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC hit. Dead Space 2 is in development for next year," states the article.
While a sequel to last year's Dead Space was outed a while ago, this is the first we've heard of an estimated time of arrival for the game. EA hasn't even officially announced it yet and a recently uncovered Visceral Games job ad indicated that the sequel has only just come out of pre-production, so treat this latest report as wild speculation until something more concrete surfaces.
