Capcom sends along further details on Frank West's adventures on Wii...

Briefly revealed by way of a page or two in Famitsu during the damp squib that was E3, Capcom today sent along further details on the surprising Wii port of Dead Rising.

The catchy titled Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop makes use of the Resident Evil 4 engine, and promises to capture the raw intensity of the million-selling Xbox 360 version.

A more forgiving game structure and save system is reported to feature in the Wii port, which is likely to annoy hardcore fanatics of the original, but should find appeal amongst a considerably larger audience that won't enjoy restarting the game from the beginning every time you die.

Naturally support for the Wii Remote and Nunchuk are a given, with plenty of gestures and aiming behind the multitude of makeshift weapons available in the game.

Our only question: When will Capcom confirm Dead Rising 2 with Xbox Live support?

This screens are all from early in the game. The mass of zombies comes late in the game.

The graphics have taken a hit and the zombie count doesn't appear to be as high as the 360, check out the screenshots. I'm guessing the in fested underground parking areas are going to be slightly different on Wii.
