Rumour merchant, Yoshinori Ono teases a new project via Twitter that could just be the next Darkstalkers...
The affable Producer of Capcom's Street Fighter IV games, Yoshinori Ono has been stoking the embers of Darkstalkers rumours that have been circling the intertubes over the past few months.
Speaking via Twitter, Ono-san commented, "Super SF4 on sale!! SuperSF4 is nothing compared to what's coming!!" He was then asked by a follower whether this means he'll make a new Darkstalkers game, to which he responded, "I'm left speechless yet..... Shhhh."
Ono-san told TVG in April that he actually started the Darkstalkers revival rumours that gathered pace earlier this year. His logic was that, if people keep talking about it, then eventually Capcom will have to make the game.
Apparently Ono-san used the same technique to get the Street Fighter IV games made after Capcom initially told him that such a project was, "not financially feasible". So, read into this what you will... when all's said and done, the more people speculate over teasing like this, the more likely it is that a Darkstalkers revival will actually happen!
