DJ Tiësto Working On Activison's DJ Hero Game??? News
Rumours suggest that DJ Tiësto is working on a special edition DJ Hero game with Activision...
By Gwynne DixonPosted: 21/11/2008
Although Activision is yet to announce a DJ Hero game officially, it seems Superstar DJ Tiësto has revealed in his newsletter that there will be a special Tiesto edition of the game featuring music he's produced exclusively for Activision as well as tracks from the artist's back catalogue of music.
This news comes from a forum post on Trance.nu, which quotes the Tiesto newsletter (unsurprisingly, we don't subscribe to it) as saying: "We are proud to announce that Tiësto has teamed up with the game developer Activision and their latest project Dj Hero! Activision is behind the widely popular video game Guitar Hero, which has sold over 60 million copies worldwide.
"Activision will release a special Tiësto edition of the game! This version will contain some of the classic Tiësto productions as well as new music composed especially for the game by Tiësto! Now all Tiësto fans around the world will have a chance to experience how it feels like to be the man himself!"
It's certainly no big surprise that Activision is working on a DJ Hero game. The brand name was trademarked earlier this year, Guitar Hero World Tour's Project Director has already pretty much confirmed the title, while numerous rumours have speculated about a peripheral for the game.
Perhaps most famously known for his dance remix of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings (used as the theme in the film Platoon), DJ Tiësto is one of the biggest names in the world of DJing.
"I am very excited about this! I think this is a great way to introduce people into Djing," he said. "Maybe they realize it's not as easy as they think, ha ha. I am sure this brings new fans to the scene, dance music is not far from hip-hop for example. Hopefully the music I have composed appeals to all kinds of fans!"
The special Tiësto edition of DJ Hero is seemingly scheduled for release in the summer of 2009.

God damn I cannot wait for this game... Obviously it was a no brainer to bring it out, and I'm sure I am not the only one who saw Guitar Hero and thought, "How good would a DJ version be"...
