D1 Grand Prix drift racing for PlayStation2 is announced as the first title from Yuke's Company of America...
Less than a day after it was announced that the Japanese developer Yuke's Company had opened a base in North America as Yuke's Company of America, the USA based studio has announced its debut title, based on drift racing.
Entitled "D1 Grand Prix" the game, a PlayStation2 exclusive, is set for release across North America in July and will see players take place in the officially licensed D1 Grand Prix tournaments across the world. Around 39 vehicles will feature in the game, and race in 13 tracks that have hosted the championship in the past such as the Fuji Speedway, Autopolis, and Irwindale.
D1 Grand Prix will also feature a commentary from the three judges, allowing player to hear their thoughts on the races set throughout the day and night. The game will include six main modes from the D1 Series, Time Attack, and Survival through to X-Treme and Battle Modes.
