Easy win

Here are a few hints to win easy.

When you start playing a race you will notice most of the time somebody attacks. Let one of your better cyclers follow the attacker(s) and make sure as long as the attack is on you get first in the prizes (sprint mountain, sprint sprint) and when you reach 100km still to go you let youre team (in the peloton) take over the lead (everybody exept your sprinter) at 80% normally you should regain and reduce the attacker(s) their lead.Keep on doing this and then the choise is yours. Do a mass sprint or you let your best cycler escape at 20 km before the end. this you do both at 99%.

General strategies

Do a lot of training camps. A hill-training camp for 10 days will improve your rider's hill ability with up to five points. Leisure training camps will give your rider up to 10 race points.

During a race, make good use of your proviant. If your green bar is almost full and your white bar is emptying out, using some of your food will make the white bar rise. Do not run out of the white bar.

If you manage a team with over $4 million, buy riders at the start of the season. If you bid on 100 riders, the teams will accept about ten, and about four will agree to a contract. Buying a rider costs between $50,000 to $200,000.

Ride in almost every race of the season. In most of them, only have one, two or three riders racing. By doing this you can make lots of money and gain points for various rankings, but not run out of race points.

Winning flat stages in stage races

Almost every breakaway in the flat stages will be eliminated with between 20 and 50 km to go. Do not take your chances on them. Instead, wait until there is about 25 km remaining, then put your rider on 99% Independent Effort. He will easily break loose from the peleton. Note: This works best with riders with over 70 flat ability.

Winning hilly and mountain stages in stage races

A breakaway is your best shot. Put all your riders in the first breakaway. The more riders with over 70 in hill/mountain ability, the better. Rely on the other riders in the breakaway to take leads the first half of the stage, then use your own riders in the remainder. Most of the time you will have such a big gap to the peleton by the time the favorites begin attacking, you can win with riders with only 70 to 75 mountain ability. If you have weaker riders, choose your strongest rider as a complete captain. Make the rest of the team work all day long without him doing anything until the last 20 km.

Winning classics

Attack early before the favorites. Many times a breakaway from 60 km, 80 km, or even 100 km out with a lot of the next-best riders in the peleton will win the race. Do not take any leads in your breakaway. Wait until the finish line is close enough so you can ride there on your own. Then, break free of the group using 99% Independent Effort.
