Toby Gard begins work on a new title for Crystal Dynamics as lead designer...
Following his role as supervisor and consultant on Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider titles, the man who originally gave us Lara Croft is heading a new title for the US studio.
Toby Gard's LinkiedIn profile confirms he's currently at work on an unannounced title for Crystal Dynamics under the new role of Lead Designer, a position he's held since the start of the year.
Whether or not this unannounced title will be the reboot of Tomb Raider that has previously been suggested, or something entirely new is as of yet unknown. Personally we'd like to see a return to the Legacy of Kain series.

honestly, this sounds good but if it has more gore than strategy and adventure than the makers have ruined the best series of games i have ever played and i won't get anymore that come out unless they are as classic as the original ones.

I dunno, please do not make Tomb Raider a survival horror game now! It's all about the adventure, not the horror! There needs to be a LOT more info in the near future to change my mind about this game.

I think this is a BIG mistake... Tomb Raider has ALWAYS been an adventurous, T-rated, gunsplay game, NOT a scary, M-rated, gory, survival game... It's SUCH a disappiontment to see Tomb Raider go down the drain.=(
I have no intention of starting an argument, I'm just stating my TRUE feelings towards this game... I know it's not confirmed yet, but Tomb Raider has NEVER become THIS brutal.
