Crytek UK's Karl Hilton reveals that the studio is currently concepting an "original IP"...

The former Free Radical Design studio (now Crytek UK) is at the conceptual stage of development on a new FPS game with an "original IP", according to Studio Manager Karl Hilton.

"We are currently concepting up an original IP that we hope will become a defining game series for the UK studio," Hilton told Develop, according to a studio profile page that was updated earlier this month. "However, in reality, the opportunity to make any kind of original FPS genre game where we get to focus on the quality of both the multiplayer and single-player experience is what drives people at the studio. We have a strong history of creativity here, and we want to take that forward with Crytek and the CryEngine 3."

In other words, don't expect Timesplitters 4 to arrive any time soon. Still, we're excited to see what the Nottingham based studio has got up its sleeves now that it's being powered by the CryEngine 3, as it'll no doubt be a lot better looking than Haze.
