Microsoft confirms that a Single-Player/Co-Op demo of RealTime Worlds' cell-shaded title will be released in just a few weeks time...

Set for a retail release on February 23rd, Microsoft has today confirmed that a demo of RealTime Worlds' debut Xbox 360 title, Crackdown, will be available to download via Marketplace on January 18th.

The game, set in 'Pacific City', is an open-environment that sees players take on the role of a super-human cop...think Robocop mixed with Judge Dredd...with an extra spring in their step. Created with stylised cell-shaded visuals, and full of 'augmentations' to upgrade your character as the game goes on, Crackdown features both Single-Player and Co-Operative modes, allowing players to team up over Live to take down the gangs plaguing the city.

We'll have more on Crackdown shortly...

ive played the demo and playing in co-op mode just makes this game a triple star rated game. if your board of saints row and cant wait for gta 4 this is by no meens a bridge gap game. oh for an earlier comment no it doesnt slow down at all it just gets faster and more explosive. just go on obox live download the demo and have a bash at co-op mode to see for your self, this realy is that good you dont need the halo 3 beta test this games worth it with out the halo 3 beta it just a nice bonus.

I like this game and am going to buy it. I am aware that the halo 3 beta is coming with it, and while that influenced my final decision the game looks amazing!

It does look like fun and the graphics are nice. I'm just hoping that the multiplayer doesn't lag with all the onscreen action
