A sequel to the Halo 3 Beta freebie could still be in the pipeline, even if Real Time Worlds isn't involved...

Despite Real Time World's Dave Jones recently suggesting that a Crackdown sequel wasn't on the cards (partly due to Microsoft's own reluctance), Microsoft's Corporate Vice President Shane Kim has indicated that there could still be life in the old Agent yet.

Speaking to Wired, Kim states "We still love Crackdown," before adding "We consider that a pretty successful title for us, high-quality, I think that customers would like to see more in that space. So that's an option for us."

Given that Microsoft owns the Crackdown IP it wouldn't be outside the bounds of possibility for another studio to look after the sequel, presumably whilst Real Time Worlds commence work on APB for WebZen. Either way we're hoping for a return to Pacific City soon as the original Crackdown provided substantially more fun and entertainment than its initial lack of depth seemed to hint towards.

ive played the demo and playing in co-op mode just makes this game a triple star rated game. if your board of saints row and cant wait for gta 4 this is by no meens a bridge gap game. oh for an earlier comment no it doesnt slow down at all it just gets faster and more explosive. just go on obox live download the demo and have a bash at co-op mode to see for your self, this realy is that good you dont need the halo 3 beta test this games worth it with out the halo 3 beta it just a nice bonus.

I like this game and am going to buy it. I am aware that the halo 3 beta is coming with it, and while that influenced my final decision the game looks amazing!

It does look like fun and the graphics are nice. I'm just hoping that the multiplayer doesn't lag with all the onscreen action
