A next-gen adaptation of the 1982 movie is on its way...

Game Informer has the first word on a new Conan title currently in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3.

Coming from Nihilistic Software, creators of Marvel: The Rise of the Imperfects, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and the aborted StarCraft: Ghost, the game will be based upon the 1982 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Featuring 24 levels, 20 different weapons and over 100 different techniques, the game promises an advanced combat system that reacts dynamically to the player's actions.

Expect confirmation of the title soon.

Um, how'd you get that from the article? They said nothing about it being based on the movie. It's based on the Robert E. Howard source material. Have you seen the flick? I'm kinda sure there's no Kraken involved... OR boats. Like the one in that full-page spread...

Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption, not Bloodlines. Bloodlines was done by Troika Games.
