THQ and LucasArts kick off Microsoft's imitative to revitalise PC gaming...

Microsoft's newly found focus on the PC with the "Games for Windows" campaign gets underway, with the release of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy and Company of Heroes, the first to feature the new packaging, branding and game features pushed forward by the initiative.

With both titles meeting a set of "technical guidelines", which Microsoft assures us will ensure a "consistent, reliable gaming experience..." on XP and Vista, the "Games for Windows" tag brings easier installation, improved reliability and support for Vista features such as the Games Explorer and Parental Controls.

Does Games for Windows get you excited about PC gaming again; can Vista satisfy gamers demands amidst the next-generation consoles; can a PC title ever step outside of the shadow cast by Blizzard's WoW??? Let the world know your opinion, is the PC struggling or is there still plenty in store for the old hand?

The product key from the manual you lost is likely to be specific to your game. If you use someone else's product key, it probably won't work on your game.

It sounds as though THQ would make a pretty penny if they offered cd keys online for a price.
