EA confirms that development of C&C Red Alert 3 on PlayStation 3 has been put on hold...
Following various rumours over the last few days that Red Alert 3 was running into trouble on the PS3, EA has now officially confirmed that development of the PS3 version has been "put on hold".
"We can confirm that the development of Red Alert 3 for PS3 has been put on hold. EALA is focusing resources on development for PC and Xbox 360 which will ship simultaneously this autumn," EA UK's PR Manager, Jon Goddard, told Strategy Informer.
The news is certainly a kick in the teeth for PS3 owners who are waiting patiently for the first half decent RTS on their console. Now that Red Alert 3 is off the table for the time being, they'll just have to hope that PS3 versions of Tom Clancy's EndWar and World in Conflict: Soviet Assault don't suffer similar fates.
