Colin McRae DiRT 2 racing to UK shelves this September, unless you're a PC gamer...
Following the announcement that Colin McRae DiRT 2 would see a slight delay on PC in order to gain fancy DirectX 11 powered visuals, Codemasters today confirmed that the sequel will be appearing on the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Wii, DS and PSP on September 11th.
Based around the third-generation of the EGO engine, DiRT 2 promises to "take racing games to a new level". Featuring over 100 different events set across diverse and demanding real-world locations, from the muddy tracks of the Malaysian rainforest to spectator-packed stadiums of London and Los Angeles, players compete in "contemporary off-road race disciplines" such as Rallycross, Trailblazer, Raid, Landrush, and Rally.
In all likelihood it will probably continue the Cocacolonization of Codemasters' once proudly British racers - whatever was wrong with the rain-soaked, mud-caked roads of Wales?

I think it's a sign of respect from Codemasters to a professional sportsman that they worked very closely with. They give posthumous awards - so think of it like that.
Perhaps the greatest respect they can offer the late Colin McRae is to do a 180 from last year's version and focus on making DiRT 2 a game for the rally fans once again instead of appealing to the yanks.

how can they do another colin McRae dirt game when hes dead (i dont mean no disrespect to him or his family) but it just doesnt make any sense he put his knowlage into the last game so how can they improve it unless there using other rally drivers and making a tribute game to colin mcrae.
