Former Relic employees play a game to guess what on earth they're up to...

A teaser website alluding to a future title from former Relic Studios employees has kept fans of the RTS specialists entertained for the past 24 hours. www.exoriare.com, requires the input of 'QUO' via the cryptic keyboard to unlock a further page that hints at a counter soon to reach its target.

Registered to former Relic employees John Johnson and Drew Dunlop, there has been some suggestion that the website could hint towards a new studio formed by the pair.

Commenting on the website at the official Relic forums, "Buggo" Community Manager denied that the website had anything to do with Relic Entertainment, commenting: "This is NOT related to Relic or our games in any way. It was started by John Johnson who used to work at Relic but works for a different game studio now."

Beyond 'Status Quondam' referring to 'former status' and the significance of '122112' possibly referring to the end of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar's 13th cycle, we're completely clueless, but with just over 14,000 "sightings" left the answer should become clear soon.

[UPDATE] The number of transmissions activated on the site has now passed through the magic number 122112, and has revealed a further image featuring a radar screen, and the words "Transmission 01". A countdown is also on the top of the screen and appears to be counting down to 2pm BST tomorrow. Clicking on the "Transmission 01" button reveals a satellite photo with symbols representing the alphabet spelling out "Leonid Position", which seems to refer to the annual Leonid Meteor Shower that occurs annually around November 17th. The end revelation of the site seems to be quite a way off - let's see what tomorrow brings...
