Codemasters select Cris Velasco to pen soundtrack after Barker's recommendation...

Following his work on the God of War series, Codemasters today announced that it has secured the services of Cris Velasco to provide a soundtrack for the forthcoming squad-based horror fps Clive Barker's Jericho. Handpicked by the horror author himself, the haunting score is evident in the latest gameplay trailer available to watch on TVG.TV.

"Cris Velasco's music for Clive Barker's Jericho is exquisite," states Clive Barker. "Filled with yearning, dark energy, threat and redemption, it is the unstoppable engine in the terrifying ghost train of Jericho."

Confirming that Clive Barker's Jericho will be released towards the end of October, just in time to provide some Halloween scares for Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and PC gamers.

There are two paths horror can go, well two main paths really. Go for the direct shock, like a slasher flick but usually that ends up like laughing stock like here. Or suspense like in Undying where things actually we're scary. This game misses Scary! I rather have a game where I am stuck with way to weak weapons and have to use my brains to kill some low level monsters then a game where I am trying to keep the moronic AI alive!
