Beautiful Game Studios could take the Chelsea transfer ban into account with a CM Season Live update...
As the world awaits the result of Chelsea's appeal against its transfer ban ruling from FIFA, the General Manager of Eidos' Championship Manager series, Roy Meredith has revealed in a TVG interview that the potential ban may be implemented in Champ Man 2010 via its CM Season Live update feature.
Unless Chelsea's appeal is successful, the club will face a ban on signing any new players over the next two transfer windows (i.e. until September 1st 2010). In turn, this could be reflected in Champ Man 2010 via the CM Season Live feature, which updates the game's database according to events, results, and transfers (or lack thereof) from the real world of football.
"We've held off the ban within the game at the moment, simply because it came in as we released and we thought, 'Blimey! Should we do it as a patch? Well no, let's wait and see'. The world has been promised that, before Christmas, Chelsea's appeal will be heard. If the transfer ban comes into play, then that will be reflected in CM Season Live, which will rather please me," said Meredith, indicating his support of rival club Tottenham.
The first major CM Season Live update is scheduled for October 15th, with monthly updates (six in total) then being scheduled for the remainder of the 2009/10 season. A one-off, £5 subscription fee is required to use the service, although those of you with boxed copies of the game will get the October update for free.
Meredith also provided us with an attachment rate for CM Season Live so far: "It's been a good take-up as well," he said of the service. "It varies from country to country but I would estimate it's about one in four, one in five that are subscribing to it, which is great. I think more and more people will [subscribe to CM Season Live] as we get closer to it and the season unfolds. So I'd say it's over expectations for us as well, a really good start."
Stay tuned for more from our incoming interview with Roy Meredith.

So BGS has enlisted the profiles of three unemployed managers to offer their two pence in the new trailer - that's very charitable of them, at least they won't be going hungry for a little while.

I also think BGS fail to understand that the Republic of Ireland aren't a "Home Nation".
