Eidos and Beautiful Game Studios confirm the next Champ Man will arrive shortly after the next footie season begins...

Following a lengthy delay that would rival the protracted transfer shenanigans of Cristiano Ronaldo, Eidos today announced a specific date for the next Championship Manager title along with a name change to represent its new release date.

Previously dubbed Championship Manager 2009, the newly christened Championship Manager 2010 will launch in September 2009 - narrowly missing out on the big August 15th kick-off when normality will finally resume after a summer without the beautiful game Americans like to call soccer.

In development for the last two years, we've been particularly impressed by Beautiful Game Studios' attempt to reboot the once mighty brand.  Featuring an all-new 3D match engine with over 500 player animations, Championship Manager also integrates CM Season Live to provide monthly data updates that mirrors the real world.

"With this game we are genuinely looking to change the face of football management games and raise the bar for consumers through bringing innovative brand new features to the PC football management genre," said Roy Meredith, General Manager of Championship Manager(tm). "CM Season Live(tm) is the most exciting innovation in football management games since they began with the original Championship Manager(tm) game. This is the closest fans will get to 'actually' managing their team, fighting the relegation or promotional battles, dealing with the big name injuries or transfers as they unfold in the real world, throughout the real season."

Waste of time. Disc won't read and going by the other issues listed below, this game seems riddled with problems. It's in the bin where it belongs.

Note to developer: If you're going to take on the FM series, begin with a game that actually works. I won't be buying any of your products ever again.

Its full of bugs! Unplayable! It always crashes, or corrupts your save game file.

So BGS has enlisted the profiles of three unemployed managers to offer their two pence in the new trailer - that's very charitable of them, at least they won't be going hungry for a little while.
