Following a year's sabbatical, the Championship Manager series will return on September 11th...
Eidos has announced a September 11th release date for Championship Manager 2010, the next instalment in Eidos' injury hampered Champ Man series, which is returning to the fold after a year out with quality issues.
Champ Man 2010 was originally scheduled for release back in April (when it would've been called Championship Manager 2009) but subsequent delays have since pushed it into the next football season.
A demo for the game will launch on August 14th and includes a 6 month teaser season, while features in the full game will include a custom set-piece maker, a revamped 3D match engine with over 500 player animations, and a CM Season Live feature that downloads football results from professional leagues and sets gamers against real-world challenges.
"I'm delighted to be able to confirm the 11th September release date for Championship Manager 2010. This edition contains features which will really set us apart from the competition such as CM Season Live(tm) which offers a totally new dimension to the football management genre," said Roy Meredith, General Manager, Championship Manager. "This is the culmination of two years incredibly hard work and the whole studio is genuinely excited about how gamers will react when they get the chance to play it for the first time."

There certainly was little between Champ Man and FM last season. Champ Man had the innovative new features, while FM was still the one to beat in terms of gameplay. Nonetheless, Champ Man 2010's gameplay still took huge strides forward from Champ Man '08.

Waste of time. Disc won't read and going by the other issues listed below, this game seems riddled with problems. It's in the bin where it belongs.
Note to developer: If you're going to take on the FM series, begin with a game that actually works. I won't be buying any of your products ever again.
