Call of Duty: World At War stays atop the UK charts for the fourth week running, selling a cool million in the process...
The favourite for the Christmas number 1 spot this year, Activision's Call of Duty: World Art War, has fanned its own flames once again by sitting atop the UK Charts (according to Chart Track's all format figures) for the fourth week running.
Despite suffering a 15% sales drop this week on top of a 30% drop the previous week, it seems CoD 5 is still way ahead of the competition. The Second World War shooter has now sold 1 million units in half the time it took CoD 4 to reach the same milestone in the UK.
Mario Kart Wii took the number 2 spot on the charts (up from 4 last week), while Nintendo rounded off its dominance of the top ten with Brain Training at number 4, Wii Fit at 8, and Wii Play at 9. It's worth noting that none of these games were released in the past six months and two of them weren't even released in 2007, let alone 2008.
EA rounded off the top five with FIFA 09 at number 3 and Need for Speed Undercover at 5 (down from 2), while Lara Croft came in at number 6 (up from 7) in Tomb Raider: Underworld. A 60% sales increase brought Fallout 3 back into the top 10 at 7 and Activision completed a top and tailing of the top 10 with Guitar Hero World Tour at 10.
A retailer promotion of Fable 2 saw it rise from 35 to 19 thanks to a 81% increase in sales this week, while a similar promotion of GTA IV (alongside the PC release) led to a 160% sales increase of Rockstar's opus, which re-entered the top 40 at 22.
The two new entries experienced a difficult week, with Prince of Persia coming in at a disappointing 30 and Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City hitting the charts at number 26.

Have it for DS...Great game. I go online Wi-Fi: play for a while, and it says COMMUNICATION ERROR. IDK why but it seems to do that for no reason after playing the game online for a while. It is Unnacceptable. No reason to be having those while I'm online.
