Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4 has racked up 10 million unit sales only seven months after it was released...
Call of Duty 4 has sold 10 million copies across the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms it was released on last November. The game has reached the milestone in less than seven months, with the Xbox 360 version pulling in the most unit sales of the three platforms.
Infinity Ward's Studio Head, Vince Zampella, told News.com that CoD4 was one of less than 10 games since 2000 to reach 10 million unit sales.
Zampella added that the game's Variety Map Pack (released on Xbox Live last April 4th and PSN three weeks later) has now sold 1.5 million copies in total, having shifted 1 million copies within 9 days of its release on the Xbox 360 alone.

post 51 that is not true, they are still releasing the game at the end of the year, they have been making this game since the first modern warfare came out, hense why COD5 is much like COD 4 in the terms of gameplay and graphics, it just shows they made that game to keep people happy while making modern warfare 2.
then after modernwar fare 2 i believe its a futuristic look on the COD series, but not that far in the future. like mabey 20 years, a clue was in COD5 on nazi zombies with ther ray gun =)
