Xbox 360 owners get a chance to sample the action from the hugely anticipated return of Infinity Ward...
Activision and Infinity Ward today released details on an impending Call of Duty 4 beta-test - for Xbox 360 owners at least. Following a successful Halo 3 "beta" test, Activision will be hoping to generate a similar level of pre-release hype, with the multiplayer CoD4 beta launching across Xbox Live on August 27th.
To register you will need to visit www.CharlieOscarDelta.com to stand a chance of receiving a Token, granting access to some of the multiplayer maps and modes before the game's release on November 9th along with all-new features such as Create-a-Class, Player Ranking, and the new Perk system.
Initially open to U.S. residents on a first-come first-served, grab em whilst they're hot, basis, updates for additional International territories will be made available on the website in the near future.
Xbox 360 owners from the following countries will be able to take part:
- Australia - Austria - Belgium - Canada - Denmark - Finland - France - Germany - Ireland - Italy - Netherlands - New Zealand - Norway - Portugal - Spain - Sweden - Switzerland - United Kingdom

post 51 that is not true, they are still releasing the game at the end of the year, they have been making this game since the first modern warfare came out, hense why COD5 is much like COD 4 in the terms of gameplay and graphics, it just shows they made that game to keep people happy while making modern warfare 2.
then after modernwar fare 2 i believe its a futuristic look on the COD series, but not that far in the future. like mabey 20 years, a clue was in COD5 on nazi zombies with ther ray gun =)
