Activision choose the son of the legendary Hollywood composer for the third CoD title...

Activision has announced that composing duties for the forthcoming World War II first-person shooter Call of Duty 3 will be the responsibility of Joel Goldsmith, son of the legendary film and TV composer, Jerry Goldsmith.

Having worked on the likes of the 1983 Steve Martin comedy, The Man With Two Brains, Joel Goldsmith has since gone on to be nominated three-times for his compositions for Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis.

"Goldsmith is one of the most versatile and talented music composers in the business and we're excited to have him on board for Call of Duty 3," said Tim Riley, Activision's Worldwide Executive of Music. "Fans know to expect a 'cinematically intense' experience from the Call of Duty franchise - Goldsmith is the man for the job."

We'll have more on Call of Duty 3 shortly...

This is absolute crap. I have played COD over again and again and looked forward to is so much. This disgusts me that Activision would abandon such a HUGE COD fan base for a lousy pathetic console version. Consoles are a complete waste of money as it is and are barely upgradeable. They are nothing compared in comparison. Shame on ou Activision for not producing a PC product BEFORE a console one. You are really starting to loose my interest in this company's developments with the crap you guys are pulling. Quake Wars, I dunno if any of you were interested in that also, but same crap just a different story.

This is not as good as COD2...in my humble opinion. It feels like it was designed by a far less accomplished team. Sorry. I hope the next one is better.
