Activision Confirms Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year News

With the hysteria of E3 slowly declining to a more natural pace there may have been one or two things we missed out on during the week, such as Activision's plans to release a Game of the Year version of Call of Duty 2.

In an attempt to squeeze every drip of value out of the best-selling 360 title, Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year comes equipped with a token that can be redeemed for the recently-released CoD2: Skirmish Map Pack, along with a bonus DVD containing "Making Of" footage, historic interviews and mission walkthroughs from the guys at Infinty Ward.

"With the Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year special edition, we're providing Xbox 360 gamers access to more great content," said Dusty Welch, vice president of global brand management, Activision, Inc. "With a bonus DVD and access to new multiplayer maps, the Game of the Year edition delivers the most intense Call of Duty 2 experience to date, all in one package."

No word yet as to when the GoTY version will arrive, however we should have confirmation on this shortly...
