Popular GBA franchise heading to the Xbox, Playstation2 and PC…

Hip Games today confirmed plans to bring its popular GameBoy Advance franchise CT Special Forces to the Playstation2, Xbox and PC.

CT Special Forces: Fire for Effect will feature unique missions in the fight against worldwide terrorist networks; whilst the games cartoon styled visuals have been given a lick of paint in the realism stakes and boast of an advanced physics system incorporated within the game engine.

Despite the change from its 2D origins on the GBA, HIP assures us that the franchise will retain its core gameplay values â?“ namely non-stop action, varied gameplay and a range of characters to choose from offering distinctive abilities, vehicles and equipment.

â??We want to offer gamers a genuinely varied experience, as they had in previous CT Special Forces titles, through making it a high-end title with a realistic feel. The importance of physics and the amazing new gadgets available to the player are our core focus in this developmentâ?, said Development Director, Graeme Boxall. â??The quality that will be shown at E3 is the guarantee that we have a future hit on our hands.â?

CT Special Forces: Fire for Effect is scheduled for release beginning of 2005; weâ??ll have a closer look soon.

This game presented a level of commitment I adore in single player gaming that is often sparce and not given due focus like "Wanted" on next gen.

Graphics don't make a game for me but level design for engaging degree to branching challenge ideas which made "CT Special Forces: Fire for Effect" for me, one of my favorite under appreciated sixth generation games.

Thanks for it's production.
