September's Trueplayerz Event - Details News

By Jon Wilcox on 16/09/2005

Joystick Junkies' charity event returns on September 25th...

Further details of the September Trueplayerz event organised by videogame fashion label Joystick Junkies have been released. The charity event, to be held at London's Marquee Club in Leicester Square on Sunday September 25th, will hold a party from 8.30pm through to 1am with entertainment from The Alps (featuring Capcom PR man Sam Brace) and UK trade publication MCV's editor Johnny Minkley and his band Gunstar Heroes. UK FIFA Champion Paul Gordon and British star gamer Dee Palmer will be in attendance. The event will also feature the launch of FIFA 06 and Burnout Revenge with free drinks provided by EA.

The party will be the climax to a day of tournaments that start at 11am on the 25th right through to the finals and awards at 7pm and 8pm respectively. Tournament entrants can register to take part by visiting joystickjunkies.com/trueplayerz and pay £5 at the door; spectators pay £3 - proceeds go towards the chosen charity.

Fantastic. Easy to learn, a bit harder to master, great replay value, this is how PS2 games should be.
