Burnout 3 Online Flaws Fixed Soon News
PS2 and Xbox owners expect downtime today as EA are ‘fixing’ the servers…
By Arron HanleyPosted: 14/09/2004
Following the hugely successful launch of Burnout 3 across both sides of the Atlantic, sections of fans were left disappointed to find that certain parts of the online game suffered from some dramatic flaws, such as not being able to join lobbies, not being able to view your friends list and even some online users not being able to log on to the EA servers at all.
Following up the problem quickly, EA today announced the downtime of their servers due to â??maintenanceâ??; the UK & Ireland support centre posted this today:
"On Tuesday, September 14, beginning at 1:00 AM PDT, the EA and Pogo.Com sites, PS2 and Xbox-Live games will experience a scheduled interruption of service for a software upgrade. Duration is expected to be 45 minutes for PS2 and Xbox games, and 50 minutes for Pogo.com," in which reps wrote to the users.
"Customers will be unable to login to the PS2 games, Xbox Live games and EA websites or message boards during the full duration of this downtime. Burnout (Xbox) will be down an additional 15 minutes while they undergo a lobbyserver deployment."
TVG currently reviewed the title, which can be viewed by clicking here. We have to say that our online experience with the game thus far has been trouble-free, and have never encountered any of the problems listed above thus far.
