The eighth game on the Xbox Originals programme is unveiled; Criterion's franchise pinnacle to date joins Crash, Halo, and Fahrenheit from Monday...
Having launched the first batch of seven games in the 'Xbox Originals' range on Xbox Live Marketplace back in mid-November 2007, Microsoft's Larry Hyrb (the self-styled Major Nelson) has revealed that an eighth title to join the line up will be released on Monday.
Arguable the peak of the franchise to date, Burnout 3: Takedown introduced gamers to the 'Aftertouch' ability, enabling some level of control over the cars after impact, together with Xbox Live functionality - cue many hours of Party Crash events back in the heady days of 2004.
The first title in the series to be published by Electronic Arts, Burnout 3: Takedown will be available for the standard Xbox Originals price of 1,200 Microsoft Points (£10.20).
