Microsoft Responds To Editor Apathy News

Back in February 2005, Xbox owners across the world were advised by Microsoft of a safety failure in some of the Xbox power cords, specifically those manufactured before October 23rd 2003. Microsoft encouraged all affected Xbox owners to reply to the letter to receive a free replacement cord.

At this point I like to say that I did just that and received my new, shiny cord a few weeks later â?“ thank you Microsoftâ?¦

This week TVG Editor Chris Leyton received a second letter from Xbox explaining that the power cord replacement scheme was still in place with an added statement explaining that the situation now extends much further, to all Xboxs manufactured before January 14th 2005 â?“fifteen months later than previous suggestions. Yet again, apathy reared itâ??s ugly head and the boss has once again failed to order the partâ?¦tsk tsk.
