More classic titles set for the revolutionary treatment for DS as Rising Star announces a PSP `Evolution` range...
Earlier this month saw the release of Space Invaders Revolution on Nintendo DS (you can read our views on the updated classic here), and today Rising Star Games has announced two titles that will follow in the â??Revolutionâ?? series. October will see the release of Bubble Bobble Revolution on Nintendo, followed by the â??sequelâ?? Rainbow Islands in November. Rising Star also announced the launch of the â??Evolutionâ?? series on PSP, which will see Space Invaders Evolution in November and Bubble Bobble Evolution in February 2006.
The publisher also confirmed that hack â??nâ?? slash adventure title Swords of Destiny will be released on PlayStation2 at the end of September.
Owe Bergsten, Chairman, Rising Star Games, explains: "Following on from our Spring launch, the end of 2005 sees Rising Star Games really upping the ante. We're overjoyed to be bringing unique updates to the Bubble Bobble series in particular. There's been a great demand to have these titles brought into the modern era, for which the new handhelds from Nintendo and Sony are ideal platformsâ?¦But Rising Star Games is not just about updating classic franchises; we want to introduce new intellectual property which will be around for years to come. With Swords of Destiny on the PS2, we're showing that Rising Star will be releasing a diverse range of titles to cater for as many segments of the videogames audience as possible. It demonstrates that we're committed to innovating new brands as well as fondly remembered classics."
Weâ??ll have more news on Rising Starâ??s future titles shortlyâ?¦
