Brute Force Online??? News

Well sort of; Microsoft announce downloadable content features and system-link support for the proming squad based shooter.

The wait for Brute Force – the promising Xbox squad-based shooter from Digital Anvil – has been a long one; however Microsoft today eased the wait by announcing the improvements that the development team have made during the wait.<br><br>When we first laid eyes on Brute Force at E3, we questioned the lack of multiplayer features, indeed this one looked primed for Xbox Live! support; unfortunately it’s too late for Xbox Live!, however the game will now make use of system link-up and include downloadable content.<br><br>The new multiplayer aspects will include a variety of Deathmatch related modes, that allow up to 16 players to compete against each other; fortunately you’ll also be able to link four machines and play through the game co-operatively.<br><br>The downloadable content will include the staple selection of new maps and campaigns, claiming that at least two will be available from launch.<br><br>"We really wanted to make sure, before we brought it out, that Brute Force could be the best it could be," said Erin Roberts, Producer of Digital Anvil. "We've added some amazing new features that will make Brute Force the one to watch out for when it hits stores this summer."<br><br>Brute Force is scheduled for release in the summer; we’ll have more on this title very soon.<br>
