More on this gameDan Connors studio confirms new faces and a successful first round of funding...
Tongue-twisting, TellTale Games, today delivered a host of announcements, paving the way for development to commence on the forthcoming comic-book adaptation of Jeff Smithâs Bone.
As a result of an agreement between the financial advisory firm avance and Telltale Games, Dan Connors studio will receive $0.6 million to assist in future license acquisitions â“ one of which the US developer is currently holding on to.
The funding is the first round from the company and attracted accredited investors throughout the US. Dan Connors CEO Telltale Games, evidently chuffed viewed the interest as a sign of TellTaleâs creative strengths. âThe investment community is saying âTelltaleâ is a unique company with a clearly differentiated proposition, ideally positioned in the fastest growing segment of the video game industryâ
As a result of the announcement, Telltale Games have also announced a string of new employees alongside strengthening the board and management. Matthew Le Merle, Group Leader of The Monitor Group LP, will join the Board of Directors as Chairman of the Board and John Ciacchella, head of the High Technology Practice of AT Kearney, Inc. will become a Director. Andre Blanadet of avance will join Telltale as CFO.
Having worked on Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars: Republic Commando while under the tenure of LucasArts, seasoned veteran and lead level designer, Greg Land will be joining the Telltale Games design team. Boosting the programming department, Karen Petersen continues the LucasArts tradition, having previously worked on Escape from Monkey Island, Gladius and Knights of the Old Republic 2. Emerging from the reported demise of Elixir Studios, Brian Gillies previous credits include Lead Artist on Evil Genius along with Motocross Madness 1&2. Also joining the art staff is Lea Mai Nguyen, a lead artist on RTX Red Rock with credits on titles ranging from Escape from Monkey Island to Jedi Knight II. Rounding out the new arrivals is Aaron Foltz who will join the Accounting and Finance department.
The first information and footage of Bone reveals a creative prospect in the criminally overlooked adventure genre, we certainly anticipate further details and getting a closer look soon.
