Bomberman: Act Zero may not be the only instalment of the age-old series to arrive on Xbox 360...

Further details have emerged from developers Hudson about their forthcoming Xbox 360 title, Bomberman: Act Zero, the latest instalment in the 23-year old franchise that began in 1983 on the MSX and ZX Spectrum.

As well as featuring a Story Mode and an Xbox Live based World Mode, players will also be able to choose between two perspectives: third-person and first-person with the former including a life-meter on the HUD. Bomberman: Act Zero is yet to be confirmed for a European release but is set to hit Japan on May 25th.

In addition to Act Zero, US online publication 1UP have spoken to Hudson Soft who confirmed that a port of Saturn Bomberman (the 10-player dinosaur version and arguably the best instalment to date) is currently undergoing evaluation to appear on Xbox Live Arcade. If it does appear on the Xbox 360 Marketplace, expect the bombs to start flying.

We'll have more on both Bomberman titles in the future...
