Relentless prices the remaining four episodes of its Blue Toad Murder Files series much more appealingly...

The first two episodes of Relentless Software's Blue Toad Murder Files were an enjoyable mish-mash of murder mystery, puzzle solving, and good old British humour. However, they scored a disappointing 7/10 in our review that could have been a much more solid 8/10.

A couple of issues let the game down: its pricing and lack of replay value. With the first two episodes being priced at £6.49 per episode over PSN (or £9.99 for a bundle of the two), this wasn't exactly the most captivating prospect for our credit crunching Christmas. Nonetheless, Relentless has now addressed these concerns by changing its pricing strategy for the remaining four episodes in the series.

Episode 3 will launch over PSN on February 25th when it will be available for free until March 25th (although, to play it, you will need to have the first episode downloaded already), while the remaining three episodes (4-6) will be released as a triple-pack on April 8th for a much more reasonable £9.99.

It's certainly refreshing to see Relentless respond on this issue and hopefully it'll now entice a few more gamers to Blue Toad's wholesome family fun.

I would not recommend Blue Toad Murder Files for PS3. The game is based on riddles, except the developers, when programming the answers, fell for their own damn trick questions, punishing you for right answers and rewarding you for wrong ones. Do not get this game.
