Blizzard confirms unannounced title after job openings surfaced last week...

World of Warcraft developer Blizzard is currently advertising for Software Engineers, but not just any Software Engineers. These applicants will seemingly have the honour of working on "a brand new project" at the company's studios in Irvine, California.

It's definitely not one of the four projects we already known about at Blizzard, which are Starcraft II, Diablo III, a next-gen MMO, and the ongoing WoW saga. In fact, the job postings are clearly listed under the "Unannounced" section of Blizzard's Job Openings billboard, with the job descriptions referring to an "unannounced title".

A Blizzard Spokesperson has now seemingly confirmed the new project, telling Diablo III fansite (DIII.net) that the job openings are for "a brand-new game that has not been mentioned before".

The Spokesperson then goes on to explain that the title is not related to the previously mentioned next-gen MMO, nor is it a WoW expansion pack, although the game is currently using the WoW engine for testing purposes.

More as we get it...
