Artoon announce a sequel to the hit-and-miss Xbox platformer.
Despite not being the killer-app title that many had hoped for, Artoon today confirmed that a sequel to Blinx is on its way to the Xbox.

Blinx: The Time Sweeper is one of the few titles to make innovative use of the Xbox hard-drive allowing you to actually manipulate time. Unfortunately the generic platform gameplay destroyed any of the innovative touches that Blinx displays. Hopefully the idea will be fully realised in the sequel, planned for release in Q4 2003.

Artoon also confirmed that an action/RPG is currently in development for the Xbox, and will be similar to KOEI’s Dynasty Warrior series.

Hopefully we’ll have more information and a full-review of Blinx: The Timesweeper soon.
I HOPE SO VERY, VERY MUCH that Blinx 3 will come out... its a very low chance, but I have my hopes up. Artoon may be closed, but why can't someone else take the job??? Almost every games or movies ends with "3", so why no Blinx 3? D:
And if I where older, I would take the job right away and make Blinx 3!! >:3

Yeah that was a while ago...
But
Hopefully this will be read by someone that can do something about this by either getting their company or Microsoft to remake it. Or even getting the idea through Microsoft.
I cant stress enough how great of a remake it would be!
I dont even want a third one, I just want to be able to play my favorite childhood game again on my 360 with better graphics. (specifically the first one)
If pokemon could do it, so can microsoft.

@Post 74: Blinx 2 was released in 2004. Blinx 3 is the bone of contention on this board though - some say it lives, others fervently denounce its existence.
Me? I reckon the series is long gone now. Blinx 2 was the last of its kind.

Blinx had potential. Its fighting monsters with time travel to save a princess! So many great ideas and cool worlds to run through! I hope square ENIX will realise that and bring blinx back.

i loved blinx 1! round nine was the best but i foud blinx 2 a letdown beacuse it didnt have a good round system and the pigs half of the game was rather tame for a legend xbox game but overall it was a very sucsessful game and was satisfying to play
