Ignition Entertainment announces a July 7th launch for BlackLight: Tango Down over Xbox Live Arcade...

Ignition Entertainment has announced that its sci-fi FPS, BlackLight: Tango Down will be released tomorrow (July 7th) via Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20). Release dates for PC and PSN will follow in the coming weeks.

The game will come packed with 12 multiplayer maps, 4 co-op mission, and 7 separate game modes, which compares quite favourably to a Modern Warfare 2 map pack consisting of 3 new maps and 2 rehashed ones for the same price. How's that for "value", Activision?

BlackLight: Tango Down's ace in the hole comes in the form of a Hyper Reality Visor (HRV), which relays information from individual players on the battlefield to the rest of their team about the position of enemies on the map. Check out our preview for more details.

There will also be loads of weapon customisation options in there to stretch out BlackLight's longevity, which provides "literally trillions" of weapon combinations according to the press release. Although we sincerely doubt that there can possibly be that many, "trillions" is roughly translated from PR speak to mean "more than most games", so we're fairly confident that even the most ardent gun nerds will be sated.

This game looks great! I love the sound of 157 million primary weapon combinations along with these 75 camos and no effing noobtubes. I mean i like MW2, halo 3 and all but this looks very promising, I still cant get over the price($15 in Australian currency) and the customization to your guns!!
