Sick on the couch... passed out strangers in the stairwell... mysterious stains on your favourite jumper - why have a real house party when you could have an Xbox LIVE Arcade House Party! Running from February 16th to March 16th, the XBLA House Party will see a new game launch on Xbox Live Arcade every Wednesday.
First to arrive is Contra prequel, Hard Corps: Uprising from Konami on February 16th, followed by Bejeweled Blitz Live on the 23rd. Hand them both a shandy as you welcome Beyond Good & Evil HD on March 2nd, before Diablo-inspired Torchlight strolls in fashionably late on March 9th. Full House Poker (who wasn’t really invited but found out anyway) turns up on March 16th, just as everyone’s going home.
Although the press release confirms that the party is taking place in “your living room”, you’ll have to pay your guests to attend: 800 Microsoft Points for Bejeweled Blitz, Beyond Good & Evil, and Full House Poker, and a whopping 1200 each for Hard Corps: Uprising and Torchlight. You can also dress your Avatar up in clothing and props “tailored to each game” from the 16th, if you really want to get into the spirit of things.
