Rockstar Releasing Beaterator For PSP/PSN On October 2nd News

Beaterator, a collaborative project by Rockstar and "urban music" uber-producer Timbaland, will be released for the PSP and PSN on October 2nd, Rockstar has just announced.

The music sequencing game, which allows users to put together tunes using loops and beats that are unmistakably Timbaland^TM, was originally released as a flash game on the Rockstar website, but is now being transferred over to PSP and PSN by the clever folks at Rockstar Leeds (of GTA: Chinatown Wars/Liberty City Stories/Vice City Stories fame).

"I've worked closely with Rockstar Games to make something completely unique," said Timbaland. "Beaterator is like taking my music studio and turning it into a suite of tools anyone can use. We can't wait to hear the beats people make and share with the world."

Rockstar originally announced that Beaterator would be making the jump to PSP way back in 2007 but the release never came to fruition, until now that is.

"Beaterator is a very natural progression for us," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "Music is incredibly important to us here at Rockstar, and we believe that there are many people out there who share that passion and will be excited about creating music of their own."
