EA's John Riccitiello had already let the cat out of the bag when it comes to a sequel to DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company, but it hasn't taken EA long to fill us in with further details.
Picking up after events from the original Bad Company finds the 'B' company fighting through snowy mountains, dense jungles and dusty villages using whatever weapon or vehicle they come across. Developed using DICE's Frostbite game engine, Bad Company 2 promises an intense level of action and destruction, as buildings collapse to the ground offline or online.
"Bad Company 2 takes everything that players liked in the original and ups the ante - more vehicles, more destruction and more team play," said Karl Magnus Troedsson, Executive Producer Battlefield Franchise, DICE. "Battlefield 1943 is a new take on a blast from the past classic coming to life with brand new technology that we're eager to get into players hands."
Today's announcement also confirmed the existence of Battlefield: 1943, an online multiplayer title hitting the XboxLive Marketplace, PlayStation Store and PC this summer. Full details here.
