EA doubles the size of its servers for Battlefield 1943 after demand for the game far exceeds expectations...
Following the release of Battlefield 1943 on Xbox Live yesterday and PSN today, EA DICE has now revealed that demand for the game has far exceeded initial expectations and, as a result, the game's servers have become saturated with users.
This has resulted in lag and queues to get onto the servers for players, although EA DICE has been quick to respond to the problem by doubling the size of its dedicated, Battlefield 1943 servers to remedy the online issues.
"Good News, the game is incredibly successful beyond even my expectations," an EA DICE representative commented on the game's official forums. "We have reached server capacity, but the bad news about this is now some people can't join unless someone leaves. But don't worry, we are adding more servers ASAP to Xbox and in preparation PS3 that should start going up ASAP with priority on Xbox 360."
Since this initial post yesterday, four updates have been added to the announcement to keep gamers up to date on the game's accessibility:
- We are adding new servers, this may cause some disconnection from now until 17:30.
- Servers have been added, mostly in Europe, start trying to play!
- We are working to increase our server capacity to almost double what it is currently. This will be complete today West Coast time.
- We have full support of EA to add as many servers as takes and then some so that everyone can play. This work has already started and servers will be added around the clock with teams working to cover this 24 hours a day so not a moment is wasted. You will be able to play this game and play it lag free!

oh and that brillient motion controller from sony looks so origonal (blatent copy of the Wii mote) cant sony actually come up with somthing that no ones done before instead of stealing/copying from other companies, and Wii motion plus is just as good if not better than the new sony copy motion controller.

You guys need to stop talking about how only there's 3 classes. Instead of having 6 or 7 classes, you have 3 that has everything you would want in a FPS.
Bazookas, C4 (Dynamite, if you will), Knife, Bayonette, Grenade Gun Attachment, Swords, SMGs, Pistols, Wrenches to fix stuff (engineers/engineer-like class, forget the name).
EVERYTHING you could want packed down into 3 classes. Sure, it's less to count as enemies, but it's still great for DLC.
REMEMBER, IT'S NOT A FULL GAME. IT'S A [#@!?] ARCADE GAME. Jeez, people expect an arcade game to be z0mfg great.

lol yet another jelous ps3 owner knowing that natal will finally be the last nail in sonys coffin.
the reasone the 360 gets priority isnt cause its a crappy system its cause the ps3 is complete and utter sh.it.e thats not even worth it no more now that panasonic have brought out a blu-ray recorder/player (perfect if you have sky hd and want to record hd movies in hd).
the 360 has loads more support from the games developers and has a bigger user base.
