FPS movie tie-in underway at TimeShift dev...
Konami has announced Battle: Los Angeles, a new FPS based on the forthcoming UFO-invasion movie. The title is in development at Saber Interactive, best known for their innovative 2007 shooter TimeShift, and will be available via PSN, XBLA and Steam.
In Battle: Los Angeles, players assume the role of a Marine in the battle against alien forces in LA. The game engine is based on Saber’s in-house tech, but destructible environments have been included using the Havok Destruction Module, and it will be possible to destroy scaffolding structures, vehicles and overpasses to eliminate enemy forces.
Battle: Los Angeles is out in cinemas from March 11th. A release date for the game has not yet been announced.
