First Details On The Dark Knight Batman Game??? News

So far, the most official info we have on the movie tie-in game for The Dark Knight has come from Gary Oldman (who plays Lt. Jim Gordon in the film), but now it seems more details have emerged on the title via an anonymous tipster.

The tipster has apparently played the game (reports Kotaku) and states that it will be an open world sandbox game, similar to Activision's tie-in games for the Spider-Man movies. However, instead of scaling the Empire State Building with good ol' Spidey, you'll be gliding across Gotham City with the aid of Batman's trusty grappling hook.

While the source confirmed that the title is in development at Pandemic (there had already been suggestions that the EA owned studio was working on the game), it seems all is not well with the project. Flaws such as poor combat, combined with an unreliable camera, lead to repetitive gameplay according to the informant.

This might explain why the title wasn't released alongside the movie last month, although Pandemic is apparently opting for a storyline that takes place after the events of the film even though the game is based on The Dark Knight.
