Batman: Arkham City's Pre-Order Incentives Are Tempting News

Of the many things we love about Batman, one of them is his various incarnations in ever increasingly stylish costumes over the years. Such is our nerdish recollection of them all, we can come across like the Gotham City equivalent of Gok Wan if we're not careful.

Imagine our joy, then, to find that ArkhamCity.co.uk has gone to the painstaking efforts of compiling all the pre-order incentive Batman skins available for Batman: Arkham City at various retail outfits across the globe (you can see them in the mocked-up fashion parade below aside the default Arkham City skin on the far-right).


There's the Batman Beyond outfit (far-left) with its daring, capeless approach; the refined, classical stylings of 70s Batman (middle-right); the head-turning prominence of Animated Series Batman (second from right), and the neo-classical attitude of Batman: Earth One's skin (middle-left).

However, it's the Dark Knight Returns skin (second from left) that's sure to be the must-have item for Arkham City. Available with all pre-orders of the game's Collector's Edition, this depiction of an ageing, paunchy Batman in all his girdle-strapped glory certainly does justice to Frank Miller's original vision. Presumably the character's heart condition will also make its in-game avatar short of breath over a short distance of dash-running.
