Ubi finally confirms what has to be one of the worst kept secrets in videogaming...

Following months of speculation and assumption, Ubisoft has today announced that Assassin's Creed will be released on Xbox 360 alongside the previously confirmed PlayStation3 version in early 2007.

News of the game's future appearance on Microsoft's next-gen machine will come as little (or no) surprise to most gamers, especially when Ubisoft aren't particularly known for signing exclusive deals with one specific platform.

What is perhaps more of a surprise however is news that the game will be released at the same time as the PS3 version -delayed exclusivity for Sony's soon to be released system was one assumption made before today's statement.

We'll have more news shortly...

This game is a perfect example of what is wrong with game development in this era of next-generation consoles. All the time and money is spent on graphics, neglecting the development of gameplay. Repetively tedious and tediously repetitive, this game is an absolute insult to the consumer and gamer. The developers should not be rewarded for producing this abomination. Don't buy it.

the storyline is good and the graphics are awesome but the game structure is repetitive boring, and ultimately disappointing. It will however make a lot of money and the developers have blatantly spent more time on the storyline and the development of sequels than the actual content of the game itself.

I got disapointed when I figured out that the "main" storyline was in the future...

This game is awesome just remember that the storyline wont be brilliant because its part of a trilogy so the story should be better in the next one
